Sense of Place: Thunder Bay

The roadshow continues as Sense of Place comes to the Thunder Bay Art Gallery, organized and circulated by the Windsor Printmaker’s Forum. The exhibition runs from January 13 – February 26, 2012. On Friday, January 27, come on out of the cold for readings at 7:30 PM from Nino Ricci and Alistair MacLeod.

    Hi, actually my comment was simply to suggest updating the event to include Rebecca’s presence. The whole star studded night thing comes from the gallery.
    No need to print this clarifying comment, okay. It is just that I hit the return key and the earlier comment was sent before I could stop it, yikes.

    Upcoming Events

    A STAR STUDDED NIGHT AT THE GALLERY

    In person, acclaimed authors Alistair MacLeod and Nino Ricci, along with internationally known visual and performance artist Rebecca Belmore,

    Friday, January 27 at 7:30 pm SHARP. Doors open at 7 pm.

    Free admission and refreshments. Donations to the Gallery are always welcome.

    Ricci and MacLeod will read from their works with a focus on “place” as a specific reference to the exhibition Sense of Place currently showing until February 26, organized and circulated by the Windsor Printmaker’s Forum. Ricci wrote the forward for the exhibition catalogue, and MacLeod wrote and essay.

    Nino Ricci will be reading from Origins of Species (2008). To find out more about the book click here ninoricci.com/books/the-origin-of-species
