[…] I want to belong to the world of books, book readings and literary events—something I realized this week when unable to attend the International Festival of Authors this week (my work/home life was just too intense). It was as if my life was happening without me. Thankfully all was not lost–the library had a copy of Douglas Coupland’s Generation A (fine consolation for the extreme literary deprivation I’ve suffered for the sake of my employer and my family).
